Prepare a new Raspberry Pi deployment or recovery drive. Read the steps first, then download and flash the image to the intended storage device.
The compressed image can be written directly; manual extraction is not required.
Download the image below. Compare its SHA-256 value before writing it to storage.
Open Raspberry Pi Imager or balenaEtcher, choose the downloaded .img.gz file, then select the correct SD card or SSD.
Let the writer finish its verification pass. Safely eject the media only after validation completes.
Insert the prepared media, attach the supported receiver using the intended USB, Ethernet or AP-mode path, connect the internet path, then power on. First boot may take several minutes.
Join the GeoBridge-Setup Wi-Fi network from a phone or computer. The setup page should open automatically; if it does not, browse to http://10.42.0.1.
Choose the real receiver model and its data connection. Confirm every cable endpoint; a link light alone cannot identify whether a cable leads to the receiver or router.
Select Ethernet or router Wi-Fi for the device uplink. If the receiver itself uses AP mode, keep a separate wired internet path available.
Enter the GeoBridge license and create the dashboard administrator password. Add optional Onocoy or Tailscale settings only when they are required for this deployment.
Review the summary, keep power connected and start setup. The setup Wi-Fi can disappear while the device joins its final network; this is expected.
Return your phone or computer to the normal network. Open the device using the address shown by setup, its router address, or its Tailscale name/IP if enabled. Sign in with the administrator password.
Do not stop at a green network light. Confirm the final state in the dashboard and Diagnostics.
